Scottish dental group sold to first time buyer
Broxburn Dental Practice has been sold to first-time buyers (and sisters) Maria Guillermina Landivar Taborga and Vivian Carolina Landivar Taborga. Christie & Co served as advisors on the deal.
Broxburn is a three-surgery practice with a database of 10,400 registered patients. It predominantly performs M&A care. It is in Broxburn, West Lothian.
Both the new owners are from Madrid and are qualified dentists. They have worked as general dental practitioners in Madrid and various cities in the UK. Maria said: “Our goal is to help Broxburn Dental Practice grow to its full potential over the coming years, offering a wider range of high-quality services to our diverse patient base.”
Joel Mannix, Head of Dental at Christie & Co, said: “We were in discussion with the previous owner for a couple of years about his retirement plans and are thrilled to have secured a deal with a great pair of first-time buyers. This is reflective of the current Scottish dental market, where independent operators and first-time buyers are dominating the market.”
Stephen McConalogue, Associate Director at Christie Finance, said: “The dental market has remained very strong in 2024 which has allowed many Associates the opportunity to purchase their first practices. With the interest rate dropping again, I can see this continuing into 2025.”
